Daily program

Itinerary: Bucharest - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov - Sighisoara - Sibiu - Bucharest

Day 1 - Bucharest - arrival

Arrive on the international airport of Bucharest and private transfer to hotel for accommodation.

Day 2 - Bucharest - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning leave to Sinaia to visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the royal family of Romania, built in the 19th century by the first King of Romania – Carol the 1st. Nowadays this castle hosts an impressive collection of weapons and art objects. We will continue our journey to the village of Bran to visit the famous Bran Castle, the fortress built in the 14th century, worldwide known as Dracula’s Castle, due to the American movie directors. Arrive at Brasov, former capital of Transylvania. Overnight in hotel.

Day 3 - Brasov - Sighisoara - Sibiu

After breakfast you will visit the Black Church, walk through the Council Square and discover the history of this beautiful city that used to be the capital of Transylvania. Continue your trip passing through Sighisoara, one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval citadels that are still inhabited. Walk through the centre of the citadel, which is part of the UNESCO heritage, discover its secret passages, climb the Roofed Staircase and visit the Church on the Hill. Continue your trip to Sibiu, European Capital of Culture in 2007. Walk through the medieval city centre, admire the Large Square, the Small Square, the Orthodox and Catholic cathedrals and discover the legends of the Liars’ Bridge. Overnight in hotel

Day 4 - Sibiu - Cozia - Bucharest

Breakfast. Depart to Bucharest with stop en route for a visit of the Cozia Monastery, one of the most important architectural monuments of Romania. Arrive to Bucharest in the afternoon and enjoy a visit of the Romanian capital city: you will admire the Revolution Square, the main Orthodox church in Romania, the Village Museum - an open-air ethnographic museum, the Romanian Athenaeum, the former Royal Palace, People’s Palace (exterior) – the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon of the U.S.A. and walk on Calea Victoriei (Victory Avenue) - the oldest avenue of the Romanian capital city with it is impressive buildings and luxury shops. Overnight in hotel

Day 5 - Bucharest

Breakfast. Free day in Bucharest without guide or car. Overnight in hotel

Day 6 - Bucharest - departure

Breakfast. Upon flight schedule, private transfer to the airport for return flight. End of our services.

–       transport included in modern air-conditioned car or mini van according to the number of tourist for the entire program and transfer, except for the 5th day.

–       Visits: included for the entire tour, according to the itinerary:

o   Panoramic sightseeing tour (no entrances): Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu.

o   Panoramic sightseeing tour of Bucharest (no entrances): Revolution Square, the main Orthodox Church in Romania, the Romanian Athenaeum, the former Royal Palace, People’s Palace (exterior), University Square, Arch of Triumph.

o   Visits included:

  •    – Bucharest – the Village Museum;
  •    – Sibiu – the Orthodox and Catholic Cathedrals;
  •    – Sighisoara – the Clock Tower;
  •    – Brasov – the Black Church;
  •    – Bran – Bran Castle;
  •    – Sinaia – Peles Castle.

–       English speaking guide:included for the entire program, except for the 5th day. For small groups it’s possible that the guide also drives.

–       Other meals;

–       Personal expenses in the hotels (telephone, internet, mini bar, fax, laundry, etc.);

C. Cancelation policy:

–       From booking till 20days prior arrival 10% of the entire amount will be charged;

–       From 20 to 10 days prior arrival 50% of the entire amount will be charged;

–       Under 10 days cancelation 100%.

D. Payments

–       30% must be paid in the moment of services confirmations;

–       70% must be paid  with 20 days before arrival;

Payments can be done by bank transfer or by card via Paypal.

Tour conditions

A. Operating period: all year long, except for Public Holidays (Orthodox or Catholic Easter, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc. when certain museums can be closed to public access.This must be reconfirmed with the staff at Exact Tours when selecting a certain period for your trip).

Peles Castle is closed in November due to yearly maintenance;

B. Recommended operating days: Friday – Wednesday, Monday – Saturday, Tuesday – Sunday, Wednesday – Monday, Thursday – Tuesday.

Not recommended: Saturday – Thursday, Sunday – Friday.
